Nature: Alarm Sounding – Residential

Location: 28468 Nanticoke Av Riverdale Beach, DE 19966

On Sunday morning, January 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident at a residence on Nanticoke Avenue in the Riverdale Park development. It was reported to be a fire alarm sounding at the residential location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Command 80 and Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior evaluation, discussion with the residential neighbors, and efforts to access the structure.

After access and evaluation, it was not determined what the alarm sounding was an operational issue with the detectors and that no one was present in the residence.  The structure was occupied with pets of the occupant and the landlord was notified the issue and on-going concern.

All units were released from the incident location.
