Nature: Chief’s Meet & Greet Hosted by Lewes Fire Department

Location: Lewes Fire Department

On Saturday, January 4^th, the new Chief of the Lewes Fire Department hosted a Chief’s Meet & Greet Event and invited their respective mutual aid companies to discuss various operational objectives of these emergency response partners.

The mutual aid fire departments of the Lewes Fire Department included the Georgetown (77), Indian River (80), Milton (85), Rehoboth Bech (86), and Memorial (89) fire companies.  All present utilized this Meet & Greet Opportunity to collaborate and discuss the following topics:

• Introduction of Fire Line Officers from each department;

• Operational Procedures for the Departments;

• Apparatus Response from each department; and

• Special Initiatives of each department.

The Meet & Greet Breakfast Event was coordinated by the new Fire Chief of the Lewes Fire Department – William H. Buckaloo and was considered an extremely successful opportunity to renew and foster perpetual working relationships between the mutual aid partners.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company “thanks” the Lewes Fire Department for its hospitality.
