Nature: Spreading Holiday Cheer

Location: Bethany Road – Selbyville

On Sunday afternoon, December 22th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company in conjunction with the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company provided an impromptu cavalcade delivering Santa Claus and “the Grinch” to a young adult that was just recently released from medical facilities.

This young lady has been hospitalized for significant medical issues and it was determined that a home visit is just want was needed to lift her spirits for the holiday season.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company provided Santa and the Grinch and reached out to the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company to assist with these efforts.

The Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company eagerly acquiesced with the request and provided the fire apparatus escort to the residential location bringing much surprise and joy to the family.

Santa and the Grinch presented some holiday cheer and participated in some photographs before returning to their respective quarters.
