Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Silicato Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, December 19^th, the Indian River Vol. Fire Co. and Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Indian Mission Road and Silicato Drive. It was reported to be a two vehicle accident with minor injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, debris recovery, traffic control, request for the Sussex EOC to notify Verizon of damaged utility equipment, and overall incident mitigation.

At least one person was transported to nearby medical facilities for further evaluation.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic with a temporary closure of Indian Mission Rd for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
