Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 24179 Indian Mission Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966

Early Wednesday morning, December 18^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into the wooded area off Indian Mission Road.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, fluid and debris clean up where needed and traffic control.

It appears that a white Toyota Prius was traveling on Indian Mission Road and left roadway running into the wooded area.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
