Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment

Location: Indian Mission Rd and Friendship Rd, Millsboro, 19966

On Tuesday, December 17^th, the Indian River Vol. Fire Co. and Mid-Sussex Rescue Squad were alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission and Friendship Roads. Shortly thereafter, the incident was upgraded to an accident with entrapment, adding a rescue assist from the Lewes Fire Department and the Sussex County Paramedics. It was reported to be a two vehicle accident with one person trapped.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine 80-1 from the Long Neck facility, and the Delaware State Fire Police.

Upon arrival of emergency response units, it was determined that there was no occupant entrapment and no reported injuries. The additional rescue and paramedics were canceled while responding to the incident location.

Emergency response assignments included vehicle stabilization, traffic control, and debris cleanup.

The Delaware State Fire police coordinated traffic around the incident.
