Nature: Alarm Sounding Incident

Location: 24966 Pot Bunker Way Baywood, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, December 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Pot Bunker Way in the Baywood development off John J. Williams Highway. It was reported that the smoke alarms were going off inside the structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an exterior and interior evaluation which identified no specific rationale for the soundings.

After discussion with the residential occupant, it was determined to be faulting detectors with request to have systems evaluated by a professional contractor.

All apparatus were authorized to return to their respective quarters.
