Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Entrapment

Location: Harbeson Rd and Hurdle Ditch Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Friday evening, December 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted to assist the Milton (85) Fire Department for a rescue assist request following a vehicle accident with confirmed occupant entrapment on Harbeson Road at Hurdle Ditch Road.  Originally, it was an automatic crash notification and then upgraded to a motor vehicle accident reported to include multiple vehicles.

The Milton Fire Department responded to the incident and requested the next due Rescue Assist, additional medical unit (paramedics) and aviation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as the Delaware State Fire Police.

The emergency extrication efforts were completed prior arrival of responding Indian River units and the assignment was amended to a landing zone assignment for the aviation unit and cancelling the Rescue Unit.
