Nature: Indian River Welcomes New Mascot

On Saturday afternoon, November 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company unpackaged and unveiled its newest mascot to assist with fire prevention and safety promotions within our fire district.  This fresh new mascot will make its initial debut during the upcoming holiday season by attending many of the neighboring fire department’s community parades.

It is envisioned our mascot will play an important part during our fire company events making memorable moments for participants.  Our mascot is confident, muscular, fun, noble, and can even be mischievous. This mascot design embodies the history and traditions of our fire department.  Its colors are central to our organization’s identity as well as being kid-friendly with a supportive facial expression which is welcoming to small children and engenders institutional pride with our helmet front shield logo. This logo was designed by some our fledging junior members during previous years.
