On Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a fire alarm sounding on Clew Street in Pot Nets Bayside.

Emergency response units from Indian River have included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts, exterior evaluation of the facility with no visible issues and an alarm sounding, the interior evaluation was completed with no issues present. 

It appears that the smoke alarm batteries were deficient and needed replacement.  The homeowner was so apprised.

All emergency response apparatus were returned to their respective stations.
