Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 26587 Raleigh Rd., Victorias Landing, DE 19966

On Saturday, November 19th, 2024, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic fire alarm sounding on Raleigh Road in the Victoria’s Landing development off John J. Williams Highway. 

Emergency response units from Indian River have included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included incident mitigation efforts, exterior evaluation of the facility with no visible issues and an interior evaluation was not possible because of no actual responder or occupant at the residence.  The rationale for the alarm sounding has been undetermined

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

All emergency response apparatus were returned to their respective stations.
