Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Hollymount Rd and Indian Mission Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Thursday evening, November 21^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Hollymount Road at the intersection of Indian Mission Road.  It was originally reported as a property damage vehicle accident and then the Delaware State Police requested an ambulance and fire company for a wash down assignment.

Emergency response unit from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and a Millsboro EMS Unit.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a blue Toyota Corolla and a blue Subaru Outback collided at the intersection causing bother vehicles to be inoperable.  Some vehicle occupants did request EMS personnel to provide an evaluation.  Both vehicles suffered front end damage and needed towing.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
