Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Beaver Dam Rd and Hollymount Rd Harbeson, DE 19951

On Tuesday, November 12^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Beaver Dam Road at the Hollymount Road intersection. It was reported to be two vehicle collision with one person needed medical evaluation services.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a blue Mazda CX-9 and a green Ford Taurus collided at the intersection causing front end damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident with temporary lane closures.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
