Nature: Vehicle Accident

On Wednesday morning, June 17th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Indian Mission Road in the vicinity of Food Lion. It was reported to be three vehicles involved.

Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Brush 80-0 from the Long Neck facility, as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency crew assignments included vehicle stabilization; assist with patient stabilization, scene mitigation and traffic control.

It appears that the KIA Soul was traveling north on Indian Mission road and collided with one other vehicle (Ford Focus) that was traveling across the roadway and basically t-boning a vehicle that rolled into the wooded area.  The initial dispatch report may have been inaccurate based upon the quantity of vehicles involved.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
