Monday June, 8 2015 @ 10:20 Nature: Vehicle Accident Location: Grotto Pizza (80) 26090 Shoppes at Long Neck, Millsboro, DE 19966 On Monday morning, June 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road in the vicinity to the entrance to Grotto’s Pizza. It was reported to be a two vehicle collision. Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility. The Delaware State Fire Police and the Delaware State Police were required to respond as well. Emergency response personnel were assigned to assist with patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, scene stabilization, and traffic control assistance. Additional services were needed for fluid and debris recovery. It appears that blue KIA Optima was traveling north on Long Neck Road and struck the rear of a Chevrolet Silverado Pick-up. The Delaware State Fire Police provided traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident. The Delaware State Police are investigating. |
