Nature:  Joint Officer Installation Ceremonies

On Tuesday evening, October 22^nd, the Sussex County Volunteer Firefighters Association hosted the Annual Joint Installation of Officers for the following organizations:

• Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association

• Sussex County Volunteer Firefighters Association

• Sussex County Fire Police Association

• Sussex County Ambulance Association

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was pleased to watch the Installation of Bruce Harmon as the 2024-2025 Second Vice President of the Sussex County Fire Chiefs Association.  Bruce is affiliated with the Indian River (80) and Bridgeville (72) volunteer fire companies.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company extends Bruce good luck and best wishes for a productive year.

Additionally, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company recognized outgoing President of the Sussex County Volunteer Fire Company – Joseph H. Thompson, III who hailed from Indian River and has finalized his Presidency and was provided a recognition plaque from Indian River.

The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company congratulated Joseph for his professional diligence and dedication while serving thes organizations.

The following activities were performed:

• Steven Deery, Jr., Chief – Indian River pinned Joseph Thompson providing his Past President’s Badge;

• William Tobin, Jr., Captain – Indian River performed the swearing in Ceremonies for the Sussex County Fire Police Association’s 2024-2025 Officers.

Congratulations and Best Wishes were extended to all officers.
