On Wednesday, October 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Free Drop Way in the Baywood Greens development off John J. Williams Highway. It was reported to be an alarm sounding incident at the residential location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine 80 from the Long Neck facility.

The incident was reviewed with a callback from the residential occupant and identified a proper passcode which permitted the incident to be cancelled.  Engine 80 did respond to the incident location for evaluation.

It was identified as a culinary mishap that caused the alarm activation.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
