Nature: Mountaire Farms Collaborate with Area First Responders & Offers Facility Evaluation and Tour

City: Millsboro

On Saturday, October 12^th, Mountaire Farms in collaboration with the Millsboro (83), Indian River (80), and Dagsboro (73) volunteer fire companies as well as the Sussex County Local Emergency Planning Coordinator (LEPC) Chip Stevenson were provided a facility evaluation and tour which focused on any potential hazardous materials incident response and facility lay-out overviews. 

The desire and intent of these activities were to familiarize local first responders with informational and situational awareness objectives regarding the potential issues that could transpire within this processing plant facility. 

This on location tour provided first-hand knowledge to the first responding fire chiefs of the potentials that exist in these facilities.
