Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Banks Rd and Creek Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Thursday evening, September 28^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Banks Road in the vicinity of Winding Creek Village.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.  It was reported to be a single vehicle into a utility pole with possibility of one person injured.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery as well as traffic control.

It appears that a Hyundai Accent was traveling on Banks Road and loss control striking a utility pole.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
