On Monday afternoon, September 16th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic alarm in a multi-residential structure on Tanager Lane in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported as the alarms were going off inside the duplex.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an initial evaluation and discussion with the residential occupants and cancelled all other responding apparatus. 

All units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
