Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: Prowler St and Airstream St., Leisure Point, DE 19966

On Saturday, September 14^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Prowler Street and Airstream Street in the Sun Retreats – Rehoboth Bay on Long Neck Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It was reported that a male subject was run over by a golf cart and sustained a head injury which required medical evaluation.  All responding emergency response units were required to stage pending scene safe confirmation from the Delaware State Police.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the overall incident efforts as well.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
