Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

On Friday evening, September 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident involving a golf cart on Long Beach Drive in the Sun Outdoors – Rehoboth Bay on Long Neck Road. Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engines #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

It was reported that a female subject fell from a golf cart and sustained a head injury which required medical evaluation.  The aviation unit was cancelled.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with the overall incident efforts as well.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
