Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: 34081 Long Neck Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, September 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision with unknown status of injuries.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility, Utility 80-11 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a black Honda Pilot and a red Ford F150 pick up collided near the s-curve on Long Neck Road. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the complete closure of Long Neck Road for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
