Nature: Automatic Crash Notification

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Mount Joy Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday, September 13^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic crash notification at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Mount Joy Road.  The incident was amended to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision with unknown injury status.  Additional emergency response requests included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignment included vehicle stabilization, patient stabilization where needed, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control as well as overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a silver Jeep Cherokee and a maroon Nissan Altima sedan collided at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Mount Joy Road rendering both vehicles inoperable.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
