Nature: Residential Alarm Sounding

Location: 30625 Whimbrel Ct Peninsula Lakes, DE 19966

On Saturday evening, September 7th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an automatic alarm in a residential structure on Whimbrel Court in the Peninsula Lakes development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported as the interior smoke detectors in Zone 9 were going off.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews coordinated an initial evaluation and discussion with the residential occupants and cancelled all other responding apparatus.  

All units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
