Nature: Alarm Company

Location: 33580 Windswept Dr., The Peninsula, DE  19966

On Sunday, September 1^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm company notification on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula development off Bay Farm Road.  It was reported to be a ground floor - lobby pull station activation.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and the Incident Command and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included an initial evaluation upon arrival which determined that the pull station was accidentally activated by a child pulling the wall station unit. All units were cancelled and returned while responding to the incident location.

The child expressed his sincerest regrets for such actions.
