Nature: Vehicle Fire

Location: Bayside Deli

Address:  36085 Long Neck Road, Millsboro, DE

On Saturday August 31^st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle fire at the Bayside Deli on Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be a vehicle with the brakes on fire with people attending to put the fire out.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 and Incident Command80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle evaluation and stabilization where needed because the fire was out but areas were still smoking.

It appears that a black Dodge RAM pick-up was towing a boat and boat trailed and attempting to launch the boat at the Paradise Cove Marina when the front brake and tire area of the pick up caught fire.  Persons nearby utilized nearby fire extinguishers to put the fire out but desired an evaluation of the fire company.
