Nature: Vehicle Accident – BLS

Location: John J. Williams Hwy & Robinsonville Road, Lewes, DE

On Thursday afternoon, August 29^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was directed to assist the Lewes (82) Fire Department with a motor vehicle accident in the area of John J. Williams Highway and Robinsonville Road.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision at or near the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included scene assistance for the Lewes Fire Department.

It appears that there were two different vehicle incidents that collided causing minor damage to all vehicles.  One incident involved a divisional unit which necessitated additional response and documentation efforts. 

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the incidents.
