Nature: Vehicle Accident

Location: Indian Mission Rd and John J Williams Hwy Millsboro, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, August 27^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at the intersection of Indian Mission/Long Neck Road and John J. Williams Highway.  It was reported to be a two vehicle collision at the intersection.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 and Incident Command from the Long Neck area as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics and the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad.

Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control, and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a Chevrolet Suburban and a Subaru SUV collided at the intersection causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control assignments for the duration of the incident with altered and limited traffic patterns for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
