Nature: Alarms - Unknown Situation (Investigation/call box)

On Thursday afternoon, August 8th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company for an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential structure on Sterling Blvd in the Peninsula development.  It was reported to be a general alarm sounding incident at the residential structure location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no change in conditions.  A crew was assigned to perform an interior evaluation as well.

The incident was reviewed via telephone with the residential owner and an appropriate response was determined. 

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
