Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 26374 Timbercreek Lane Long Neck Shores, DE 19966

On Tuesday afternoon, August 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company for an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential structure on Timbercreek Lane in the Long Neck Shores development.  It was reported to be a general alarm sounding incident at the residential structure location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police..

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no change in conditions.  A crew was assigned to perform an interior evaluation as well.

The incident was reviewed with the residential occupants and determined to be a faulty battery with the smoke detector.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
