Nature: Dumpster Fire

Location: 32985 Shoppes At Long Neck Blvd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Monday evening, August 5^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an outside fire at the Shoppes at Long Neck Boulevard off Long Neck Road.  It was reported to be an active fire at the multi-story residential structure. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tower 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included fire suppression activities with fully donned SCBA gear.

It appears that residential household garbage caught fire in the apartment complex dumpster.  After the dumpster was extinguished all emergency apparatus was authorized to return to their respective stations.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of the incident.
