Nature: Vehicle Accident (BLS)

Location: 24930 John J. Williams Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966

On Friday afternoon, August 2^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident on John J. Williams Highway in front of the Wawa.  It was reported to be a 2-car rear-end type collision with one person having a mouth injury.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.  Additional emergency alerts included the Millsboro EMS Services.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, patient stabilization where needed, traffic control and overall incident mitigation efforts.

It appears that a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport struck the rear of the brown Ford Edge Limited. All vehicles remained stopped in the roadway or in the right acceration lane on John J. Williams Highway.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control assistance for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
