Nature: Structure Fire

Address:  32087 Holly Lake Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Wednesday afternoon, July 31^st, the Indian River (80), Millsboro (83), and Lewes (82) fire companies were alerted for a structure fire in the Holly Lake Campground.  It was reported as a travel trailer camper fire from an electrical issue with smoke visible.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Chief 80-15 and Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine 80-1 and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.   Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments initial evaluation and investigation with incident downgrading to only Indian River unit response.  All other emergency response units were cancelled.

The Chief communicated with the occupants of the travel trailer as well as with the park management personnel.
