Nature: Alarm Sounding

Location: 25491 Dogwood Lane Leisure Point, DE 19966

Early Tuesday morning, July 30th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Dogwood Lane in the Sun Retreat – Rehoboth Bay development formerly Leisure Point. It was reported to be a general alarm sounding incident at the commercial structure location.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility.

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no change in conditions.  A crew was assigned to perform an interior evaluation as well.

The incident was reviewed with the management and determined to be a faulty detector.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
