Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Early Saturday morning, July 20th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for vehicle accident in the area of Paradise Grill on Bay Road.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and Delaware State Police Aviation unit.  It was reported to be a golf cart incident with possible head injury.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Utility 80-11 from the Oak Orchard area and Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crews responded to a residential address on Flipper Road to make contact with the injured person.  All aviation, ALS, and fire apparatus were cancelled while responding to the incident.  One person was transported to nearby medical facilities for additional evaluation.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
