Nature: Alarm Sounding Incidents:

  • 13:04 - Location: The Peninsula Clubhouse (80)

  • 13:09 - Location: Swirling Waters Path, The Peninsula

  • 14:06 - Location: The Peninsula Clubhouse (80)

On Wednesday, July 14th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to multiple activities in the Peninsula development during the day.  Identified herewith is an incident synopsis of these responses:

•            13:04 - Nature: Alarm Sounding – The Peninsula Clubhouse

This incident was for an alarm sounding incident at the Peninsula Clubhouse where it was reported to be a pull station alarm near the Ansul Hood in the kitchen.  Tower 80 continued to the Clubhouse incident and Tanker 80 was redirected to the Swirling Water Path incident. This Clubhouse incident required the silencing and resetting of the alarm with the alarm company attending to resolve the activation concern.

•            13:09 - Nature: Alarm Sounding – Swirling Waters Path – The Peninsula

This incident was an automatic fire alarm within a residential structure.  Units responding to the incident location included Tanker 80 and Tower 80.  Tower 80 cleared from the previous incident and responded accordingly.  An initial exterior evaluation of the structure was completed with an interior evaluation commencing.  Units were able to identify a faulty alarm issue and that the occupants needed to request a service call to reset the system.  The residents were notified that a certified maintenance contractor would be needed.  This incident was placed on officers’ call for the next 24 hours.

•            14:06 - Nature: Alarm Sounding – The Peninsula Clubhouse

This incident was for an alarm sounding incident at the Peninsula Clubhouse where it was reported to be a kitchen pull station alarm.  Tanker 80 responded to the Clubhouse incident. The service contractor for the alarm system was present his Clubhouse incident required the silencing and resetting of the alarm with the alarm company attending to resolve the activation concern. This incident was placed on officers’ call for the next 24 hours.
