Nature: Alarm Sounding

On Friday, July 12th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for an alarm sounding incident on Windswept Drive in the Peninsula off Bay Farm Road. It was reported to be an alarm sounding with specific information regarding unit identification number.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Tanker 80 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and audible and visual alarms sounding.  A crew was assigned to perform an interior evaluation as well.

The incident was reviewed with the residential occupants and the alarms were silenced with the request to notify building maintenance personnel.

All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
