Nature: MVC – Property Damage Incident

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Bay Farm Rd Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday afternoon, July 6^th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for fire police assistance on Bay Farm Road to assist the Delaware State Police with traffic control.  The incident was the result of a property damage vehicle accident causing a traffic hazard.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Incident Commend 80 and Engine #80-1 as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response crew assignments included vehicle stabilization, fluid and debris recovery, traffic control and overall incident mitigation.  Incident Command 80 came upon the incident and notified the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center of the incident at the same time automatic crash notifications were being received.

It appears that a Nissan and a JEEP Gladiator collided on Bay Farm Road near the side entrance from Back Bay Plaza.  The Nissan was rendered inoperable as a result of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control for the duration of incident.
