Nature: New Pierce Engine Delivered to Indian River

Location: Station #1

On Wednesday, July 3^rd, Indian River’s new 2024 Pierce Saber Engine was delivered to Station #1 for presentation to its members for acceptance. The Truck Committee members provided an overview of the truck to the fire company members.

The truck was delivered to the fire station by representatives of Atlantic Emergency Solutions.

Indian River provided Atlantic Emergency Solutions with cashier’s check with much appreciation for their efforts to provide this apparatus to our community.  The procurement price as delivered was $841,180.

Over the next few weeks, this unit will undergo tool and equipment installation, lettering and graphics installation, radio and computer installation as well as other modifications specifically for Indian River.  Apparatus training will also be completed prior to the truck being placed in-service.
