Nature: Drill / Training – Hose Handling – Large Diameter Hose

Location: Station #2 – Banks Road Facility

On Wednesday evening, June 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company conducted its normal monthly training evolutions on large diameter hose.

Large Diameter Supply Line Hose (LDH) is engineered and designed to deliver water faster, more efficiently, and at lower pump pressures.  However, handling and maneuverability are impacted by the mere size of the hose once charged with pressure.

Indian River hosted its normally monthly training to review the principles and practices of such hose functions and capabilities.

Illustrated herewith are a few photographs of the evening’s activities.
