Nature: Vehicle Accident w/Medics

Location: John J Williams Hwy and Plaza Dr Millsboro, DE 19966

On Saturday morning, June 22^nd, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for a vehicle accident at John J. Williams Highway and Plaza Drive.  Additional emergency alerts included the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad, the Sussex County Paramedics, and the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit – Trooper 2.  It was reported to be a child on a bicycle struck by a white Jeep Wagoneer.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Emergency response personnel performed patient assessment and cancelled additional responding EMS personnel, aviation and requested cancelling fire apparatus.  No additional information is available.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Police are investigating.
