Saturday June, 15 2024Nature: Tanker Shuttle Training EvolutionsLocation: Millsboro Volunteer Fire CompanyOn Saturday, june15th, a cadre of personnel from Indian River attended training evolutions for a Rural Water Supply and Shuttling Operations training event hosted by the Millsboro Volunteer Fire Company.These training evolutions were intended to provide newer apparatus drivers with training evolution for conducting a water supply shuttle as well as reinforcing experiencing senior drivers with hands on exercises. The evolutions utilized different water appliances for sustaining water to a master stream from Ladder 83 and simultaneously to a deck gun on engine 73-1 and while maintaining adequate water flow. The specific drafting site was located in Cupola Park in Millsboro.The following companies participated in the training Millsboro (83), Dagsboro (73), Gumboro (79), Indian River 980), and Easton.Indian River expresses its gratitude to Millsboro Fire Company for hosting such activities.Illustrated herewith are a few photographs of the activities.
