Legislators Take Action Requesting Long Neck Road Traffic Study

Delaware State Senator Brian Pettyjohn and Delaware House of Representative Jeff Hilovsky are prioritizing the safety of drivers on Long Neck Road. While no one can fully prevent instances of reckless driving, the legislators took steps today to address it and potentially reduce future accidents.

• Traffic Study Initiated: They have requested DelDOT conduct a traffic study, which is a necessary first step to lowering the speed limit. This study will analyze traffic patterns and safety risks.

• Increased Patrols Requested: Additionally, they've contacted Delaware State Police Troop 7, requesting increased enforcement of speeding violations on Long Neck Road.
