Nature: Traffic Collision Incident Alert Synopsis of June 1, 2024
On Saturday afternoon, June 1st, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for multiple traffic collisions or vehicle accident incidents throughout the day.

Address: John J Williams Hwy and Indian Mission Rd Millsboro, DE 19966
Emergency response units from Indian River included Engine #80-1 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.
It appears that this was a rear-end type collision involving two vehicles being relocated to the Weis parking lot pending arrival of emergency response personnel with one person being transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.
The Delaware State Police are investigating.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility as well as the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.
This incident involved a groundskeeping contractor having a cellular phone fall from a golf cart which generated an emergency notification of the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center and no response from the telephone call back.
After emergency response units made face to face contact this incident was cancelled.
The final motor vehicle accident alert was for a vehicle accident as illustrated below:

Nature: Traffic Collision w/Injuries
Address: Hollymount Rd and Beaver Dam Rd Harbeson, DE 19951
Emergency response units included Rescue 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Engine #80-1 and Chief 80-15 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Mid Sussex Rescue Squad and the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included patient stabilization, traffic control, fluid and debris recovery, vehicle stabilization and overall incident mitigation.
This was a two-vehicle accident at the intersection with one person being transported to nearby medical facilities for additional observation.
The Delaware State Fire Police coordinated traffic control with the closure of Beaver Dam Road between Indian Mission Road and Holly Mount Road as well as temporary lane restrictions at the Holly Mount Road intersection for the duration of the incident.
The Delaware State Police are investigating this incident.
