Nature: Structure Fire - Residential (Single) – Overhaul & Wet Down Assignment

On Saturday, June 1, 2024 at approximately 11 a., the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company returned to the incident location of an earlier residential structure for additional overhaul and wet down operations   Due to the lack of fire hydrant availability and limited access for fire apparatus, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company enacted a tactic strategy to utilize 80 Marine 1 for overhaul, suppression, and saturation measures to fully mitigate the aforementioned incident.

Chief Deery requested that Utility 80-8 with 80 Marine 1 respond to the Big Oak Lane incident via Guinea Creek and Engine #80-3 to fulfill the designated assignment overhaul and wet-downed due to smoldering materials.

This undertaking flowed approximately 25,000 gallons of water via Guinea Creek and lasted approximately 1 hour before discontinuing these tasks.
