Nature: Alarm Sounding Incidents

On Sunday, May 26th, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company was alerted for alarm sounding incidents on Pond Road, Winding Creek Village and Hammerhead Drive, Stonewater Creek. Both incidents were reported to be an alarm sounding for a general smoke/heat alarm incident.
Emergency response units from Indian River included Tower 80 from the Oak Orchard facility, Incident Command and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.
Emergency response crew assignments included a completed 360 evaluation of the building with location of utilities and no visible issues while some apparatus was cancelled while responding.
It was identified to be a heat detection concern and a culinary mishap after discussing with the home occupants.
All emergency response units were permitted to return to their respective quarters.
