Nature: Structure Fire – Assist Lewes Fire Department

On Monday evening, May 13^th, the Indian River (80), Milton (85), Rehoboth Beach (86) and Lewes (82) fire departments were alerted for a residential structure fire on Kindleton Lane off Robinsonville Road.  It was reported to be grill fire with possible extensions into the residential structure.

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police. Additional emergency alerts included the Sussex County Paramedics.

Emergency response crew assignments were to report to the manpower pool for allocation with Engine #80-3 being cancelled while responding to the incident location.

Additional information may be published via the Lewes Fire Department as this was a mutual aid response for the other fire companies.

The Delaware State Fire Police assisted with traffic control and scene access for the duration of the incident.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall is investigating.
