Nature: Fabrication Process for Indian River's new Pierce Saber Engine - Progress Report #8
The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company is pleased to announce the production status update for one of its new Pierce Saber 7000 fire engine to replace our aging fleet. This unit will be a Pierce Saber Cab & Chassis and will replace Engine #80-3 - https://irvfc.com/apparatus/detail/4624
Atlantic Emergency Solutions recently published information that this replacement engine is reaching the final stages of assembly, the chassis is on the production line and the new Cummins engine has been mounted. The apparatus body sits staged awaiting to enter the body assembly department.
This replacement engine will feature the following options:

Pierce Saber Cab & Chassis

Cummins L9, 450 HP Engine

3000 Series Allison Transmission
-
1500 GPM Pump
-
1000 Gallon Water Tank
-
Husky 3 Foam System
-
Firetech Scene Lighting
