Nature: Commercial Structure Fire – Assist Rehoboth Beach

Location: All Saints Thrift Shop

On Wednesday, May 1st, the Indian River (80), Lewes (82), Bethany Beach (70) fire departments were alerted to assist the Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company with a commercial structure fire at the All Saints Thrift Shop on Coastal Highway in the Rehoboth Beach Plaza. 

Emergency response units from Indian River included Tanker 80 from the Oak Orchard facility and Engine #80-3 from the Long Neck facility as well as the Delaware State Fire Police.

Initially, the incident was a call for smoke and flames coming the corner of a building in the Rehoboth Beach Plaza.  The call was upgraded to include fire units from the aforementioned fire companies as well as the Sussex County Paramedics. 

A small fire was contained to the front overhang area where an outdoor light fixture was mounted and other responding units were cancelled.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The Delaware State Fire Marshall responded to investigate.
